We meet on Wednesdays from 12:35 to 1:30 at the Civic Library, Civic Square - Long Circuit Civic.

Visitors are welcome to sit and observe, or to participate in the meeting.

A typical meeting involves both impromptu opportunities to speak ("table topics": one minute talks on topics provided by the meeting chair), as well as prepared speeches by club members, usually of 5-7 minutes duration.  Every speech is evaluated by other club members who offer friendly advice for improvement, as well as commendations for what was done well.

Sometimes we have special events such as competitions, "speech fests" (meetings consisting entirely of prepared speeches), special impromptu speaking activities (debates, storytelling, etc), and business meetings.  If you wish to attend a "typical" meeting, it is worth contacting us in advance to see what is planned for the day you wish to visit.  Otherwise you are welcome simply to turn up and take pot luck!
